MOBILITY Southwest - Trampers and Wheelyboats in North Devon |
The
Tramper Mobility Scooter is an electric all-terrain mobility scooter
designed specifically to cover rough ground, mud and grass safely.
The Trampers avaliable for hire through the Countryside Mobility Scheme
have been limited to a speed of 4mph.
Wheelchair
Accessible Wheelyboats provide disabled people with independent
access to a variety of water-based activities. They accommodate wheelchair
users and others with limited mobility, easily and safely enabling
them to actively participate on the water on equal terms with their
non-disabled counterparts |

This exciting project linking community and tourism in the North Devon
Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Biosphere Reserve has recently
been handed to the local community for management. The latest addition
to the site includes these exciting new ipod and mp3 tours which give
you all you need to get out and about to Explore history, wildlife
and geology of the area. Alternatively if the weather is not so good
browse the site from the comfort of your own home. You can also hire
GPS linked node Explorers from the Countryside Centre in Braunton
main car park during the school holidays and take a satellite directed

Walking
for Health: There are Walking for Health Groups currently operating
in Bideford and Holsworthy in Torridge, and South Molton, Barnstaple,
Ilfracombe and Combe Martin in North Devon and all can benefit from
this support. Transform and TTVS have received 18 month's grant funding
from the North Devon AONB and Biosphere Service to enable the Groups
to grow and reach more new walkers, and to set up new groups where
there is demand. To learn more about Walking for Health in North Devon
